"It's Scalito...get me another drink"

Drudge's photographers snap liberal NY Times columnist Maureen Dowd as she hears the news about Scalito.

They're looking for a caption.

My favorite: if you want to keep the beer cold, put it next to my heart.

We trust Miss Dowd has a sense of humor about these things, and if she moved next to us on a barstool, we'd be happy to buy her a drink.

We just won't buy her columns at the NY Times--at least not as long as they're selling for 50 bucks a year.

Poor Miss Dowd: she's sitting at a barstool, looking for a successful Catholic man in his fifties with an interest in politics....but Samuel Alito's already taken. :)

But Miss Dowd? We're sure you can solve your problems at www.catholicmatch.com. :)

LOL! She is a wackjob. Her brother apparently, is a conservative -- she wrote about him one year and the email that she cited was so much better than anything she ever wrote.

I would have emailed you this message instead of posting it in your comments, but I could not find an email link.

Do you know about this?

Expulsion from Loretto

As of Saturday, October 29th, I was given official notice by express mail that I am expelled from Loretto High School. This was given completely without forewarning, without a meeting, and without a chance to say goodbye. My family is now seeking legal advice, and more details will follow.

I have somewhat sumarized it at http://eagleandelephant.blogspot.com/2005/11/catholic-anti-catholic-bigotry.html

Perhaps it could be publicized more throughout the blogosphere and more support could be sent their way.

In Christ,
William

I'm not 100 percent sure that the Democrats don't attempt a filibuster of Alito. But I do see a similarity, at this point, between the way the Roberts nomination unfolded and the way the Alito nomination is currently unfolding.

We'll see. But John McIntyre (realclearpolitics.com) wrote that the Leftish interest groups either demand a filibuster or go out of business.
